My first venture into half scale - sitting room in cigar box

As I collected a lot of furniture in half scale when buying lots of furniture on eBay, I decided to give it a try. I liked it so much, aside of all difficulties, that i am planning to purchase dollhouse kit in future. Probably it will be Fairfield.
The most difficult thing was to glue inside the box wallpaper and borders. It would be easier to decorate walls before gluing them together but in this case it was impossible as box was already in one piece. Wallpaper, borders and wood planks are printed on paper. Wall-to-wall carpet is from piece of fabric (sample from upholstery dept).

I really anjoyed making armchair from a project. It used some cardstock, balsa, foam and fabric. Just a little cutting, glueing and sewing and it was ready in less than 2 hours. I loved making it!

I also printed screne on gloss paper (the printies were intended for windows) and glued them together using pieces of masking tape.

The only minus of this scale is lack of accessories. There is not much of them for sesible money and a little more not so affordable. On the other hand there is a lot of bits and pieces usefull as vases, decorative items and etc. And as it's smaller, there is less space for extras. Just a little lamp made from beads and printed shade, some books from pieces of balsa and printed covers, vases made from beads with some bits of plants. Some small pillows and pictures made of cases and small seashells. And it's done.
